MSI clubs and members,
With the growth in meet attendance particularly this past season, the Executive Committee of the MSI Board looked at projections for the upcoming separate, all age C Finals meet (at 1,000+). It was determined wise to consider expanding to two sites as was done this past winter. Presently a single long course meet is set for the Bloomington Family Aquatic Center (hosted by the BAC Barracudas). One scenario is to add a second long course facility, however the Executive Committee believes locating a second long course site is highly unlikely. What is a more likely is resetting C Finals to two (2) short course sites.

One club in MSI has stepped forward to offer hosting C Finals at a short course facility. The next step -- the Executive Committee has invited any other team in the LSC interested in hosting a C Finals meet to contact the MSI office. Since time is short a prospective host club will need to secure their pool and notify MSI by April 21^st.

We have been in touch with BAC and they are fully aware of the desirability to disperse a large meet over two sites. There may be other decisions to make beyond this announcement, but nothing will change from the current schedule unless there are two sites for C Finals of the same course.

Please contact me by phone or email if you have questions or wish to confirm that your club is willing to host a C Finals meet on July 14-15 (either short or long course). Thank you for understanding the challenges and I know MSI leaders will look forward to hearing from interested host clubs.
